Everyone knows children don't have a care in the world. Everything is taken care of for them, at least those who are fortunate enough...
But what I really mean by the innocence of childhood is the idea that everything will always be ok, once it involves you...
At what point do we stop believing that "it cannot happen to me" ??
Let's face it.. the world is full of cruel and unthinkable things that would just not even begin to creep into our minds when we were young.
We are no longer "safe"...
We are no longer protected by the veil of ignorance...
Cancer, AIDS and other diseases, accidents and even murderers are part of our everyday lives and there's nothing we can do about it...
Live life to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow may bring. There's always some jackass ready to snatch the life right out of you...
